THE UNIVERSITY POST REVEALED THAT THE BOARD OF UNIVERSITY OF COPENHAGEN HAS DECIDED A NEW BLOCK STRUCTURE FOR THE FACULTY OF SCEINCE -
BYPASSING STAFF AND STUDENTS:
Overview of the new blockstructure, cf. academic year 2025/26. Blue: Teaching weeks, Shaded blue: Optional supplemenatary teaching weeks, Green: exam weeks, Red: reexam weeks THE CONSEQUENCES ARE:
The 8th teaching week is abolished! curriculum remains UNCHANGED!
'Unofficial' supplementary teachingweeks are placed as 'compensation' in e.g. weeks 1 and 42. Week 1 often falls between Christmas and New Year's, and week 42 is the autumn break, so staff and students get less vacation/exam preparation .
ALL midweeks abolished!
Reexams will COLLIDE with teaching weeks!
It was decided WITHOUT STAFF & STUDENTS!
This is a deterioration in the academic quality and well-being of our education! We clearly reject this down-prioritization of the faculty of SCIENCE's educational quality. The universty's primary task is to educate - not to save on teaching weeks and pressure students and educators to their limits. THUS ACROSS THE FACULTY OF SCEINCE WE CALL FOR PROTEST!
